Who we are
Nothyma is run by Martine, a sole trader based in Rothley, Leicester. Martine is responsible for your personal information. Contact: nothyma@hotmail.co.uk.
What we collect
- When you book: your name, mobile number, email if you give it, the address and postcode we come to, the style you want, and any notes about your hair.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We see that a payment was made and its amount, never your full card number.
- After your appointment: your feedback, and a photo of the finished hair taken by your stylist as a record of the work.
- If you apply to join the collective: your details, experience and a link to your work.
Why we use it
- To arrange, carry out and take payment for your appointment (so we can keep our agreement with you).
- To keep records for tax, which the law requires.
- To protect clients and the business from fraud, for example by checking appointments went ahead as booked (our legitimate interests).
- To text you when your next appointment is due, if you ticked that box. Reply STOP to stop.
- To share photos of your hair on social media, only if you ticked that box. You can change your mind at any time.
Who we share it with
- Your stylist: your first name, number, address and hair notes, only once they've accepted your appointment.
- Services that run our bookings: Stripe (payments), Twilio (texts), Supabase (our booking records, stored in the EU), Vercel (our website) and postcodes.io (to check the distance to your postcode).
- We never sell your information.
How long we keep it
Booking and payment records are kept for 6 years, as tax law requires. Completion photos are deleted after 1 year. If you apply to join and we don't go ahead, your application is deleted after 12 months. We keep weekly backup copies of our records for 8 weeks, so deleted information can stay in a backup for up to 8 weeks before it's gone completely.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or object to how we use it. Email nothyma@hotmail.co.uk. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
